First, it is important to gather the necessary evidence to establish that the act was committed by
the employees and to ascertain that their decision was malicious and the act they committed was
intentional. Besides, I would handle the situation of the employees who have been distorting the
charts and present to the company by informing them about their characters and how wrong they
had been engaging in such acts. However, it is important to understand that being a leader in a
company, especially when such an event occurs would require arranging a meeting and
summoning the employees and question them why they never considered complying with the
company's ethical codes of conduct, to be honest despite the situation (Dunn, 2013).
I will take the opportunity to remind the employees that it is important, to be honest, and
maintain integrity, which is considered as some of the basic primary values of the company.
Furthermore, I would require the employees to make a formal apology to the company and the
entire management for breaking the key values of the workplace. Additionally, I would give the
employees who are involved in the act a warning that a repeat of such acts would render them to
lose their jobs.
It is important to understand that business etiquette is very crucial, especially when representing
the company in the best way possible. Besides, business etiquette is important since it determines
how I would deal with the issue in a great way. As such, based on the business etiquette of the
company, it is a fact that making false claims to the shareholders is a major mistake. Notably,
this would call for a measure to ensure that there is no repeat of such mistakes again (Hrehová &
Bednár, 2017).
