How do you think the new and old versions represent different aspects of their
societies/times? What are the similarities and differences?
The difference between the David and the Colosseum is that they both are from different time
periods and one is a dome and the other is a statue and the Colosseum is older than the David.
The similarities are that they both have Italian culture and both was influence of culture but have
history and art and structure and both was made in Italy and they both still in Italy but one is in
the museum for all to see .
How does each version reflect the culture and time period in which it exists?
When the David was made it was during a dark time but it was made to symbolize happiness but
people thought of overcoming things but with the Colosseum After the years it took to build it
people loved it when the 100 days games was held it had combats and wild animal fights. but it
is still here today but for four years it was abandoned and some of it fell apart but the rest is still
standing .
After considering the examples presented, think about the artifact that you chose for
Project 1. Pose one question regarding the relationship between human culture and
expression in relation to your artifact. Explain one approach you may take to find the
response to the question posed.
People still visit the David at the museum and can admire it beauty and it is one of a series and
the Colosseum is apart of the roman history and it was a gift and it show that the people in the
past had skills and you can still admire it today and the approach I take to response it to do
research and to make sure I get great information and I check different sources before I can
answer it with the best answer and not a made up one. How do people admire The David and the
Colosseum?
