Aqualisa is the United Kingdom's located shower manufacturing company with a strong
reputation, excellent service, and premium brand. The company has different products for
different market segments in the UK. The shower industry, thereby being categorized second in
the market share in the mixing valves and third in the entire United Kingdom shower market. In
2001, the company launched a new product, the quartz shower, which had cost € 5.8M to
develop the latest product, approximating to about €175 to €230 to manufacture (Moon &
Herman, 2002). Therefore, the paper aims at analyzing the company's segmentation analysis,
value analysis, channel analysis, customer behavior analysis, problem identification, and
marketing recommendations to boost quartz shower sales.
Segmentation Analysis
Market segmentation is the procedure of categorizing a market of plausible clients into
segments or groups predicated on different characteristics. Companies use segmentation
strategies to group clients based on needs, interests, and locations. The UK shower market
targets customers in different market segments. The first market segment is the premium market
that often shops in showrooms, took for granted the service ad high performance, and based their
buying behavior on style. The Premium market segment preferred buying in the showrooms
because it tended to focus on high-end customers. The showrooms demonstrated the process of
choosing and designing a bathroom solution, thereby offering a pleasant environment to view the
products, and hence, meeting the needs of this segment, which was style. The premium product
price range they would consider buying the product was €230 retail price for the electric shower
