Scientific Method
I agree with the post that the scientific method can be easily put to make hypotheses and
then conduct experiments based on the hypothesis. The scientific method is used by scientists to
analyze basic questions and make judgments based on facts. When people conduct research, the
researchers and scientists apply the scientific method to gather empirical and measurable
evidence in an experiment correlated to a hypothesis. These results that get to be achieved or
obtained from scientific research is meant to contradict a theory. I also agree with the researcher
that there are various basic steps involved in the research method. There are two primary
approaches to research methods: qualitative and quantitative and qualitative research. The two
methods use systematic information, observation, and analysis. Although the quantitative method
emphasizes numerical information, qualitative research aims to go deeper and obtain a rich, deep
comprehension of an issue or subject (Ketokivi & Choi, 2014). A specific study method is
chosen by both qualitative and quantitative researchers, depending on the type of issue they
would like to examine. Typical research methods involve interviews, surveys, observation, case
studies, and comparative-historical analysis. Despite the research method, the scientist ought to
adhere to research standards ethics, which govern how the research needs to be conducted.
Moreover, in the critical thinking part, I reckon with the researcher that in order to come
up with an unbiased decision, it is always good for the research findings to be reviewed by
unbiased peers. This will help develop research findings that are not just skewed to fit the
researcher's intended results, which is no fact of the matter.
