ARTICLE ANALYSIS 2
About the article
The coronavirus is one of the worse pandemics, and the article has addressed the role of
law enforcement during the period. The people had never experienced the lockdown and other
challenges before, but it was new. They had to stay at home and implement social distancing.
The governments and city authorities took help from the police departments to impose the law
and enforce it on the citizens. The research conducted in Kerala and the effects of police efforts
were evaluated. The results showed that the non-medical interventions and the law enforcement
by police helped the governments reduce the spread of disease (Kumar, 2021).
Thoughts about article
My thoughts are positive regarding the article because the social distancing and all other
restrictions were new for the citizens. Most of them were not agreed to stay at home and follow
the regulations. The use of police force and law enforcement techniques helped the governments
to reduce the disease. The people know the power of the police, and it is good to know that the
governments took the initiative of force to ensure that the people do not get infected. Sometimes,
law enforcement has become necessary, and the governments cannot do certain things alone. In
the end, it was a good effort by the authors. They did a detailed study to evaluate the impacts of
law enforcement in the community.
