CAPACITY OF AN ONLINE SHOP ORGANIZATION 2
Capacity of an organization: A case of an Online Shop in Saudi Arabia
An organizational capacity depends on the business's capability to deliver products or
services that satisfy the consumers’ expectations and cover the unpredictable opportunities and
challenges that the future holds. Considering the underlying factors such as communication,
culture, technology, and financial austerity (Cox et al., 2018) that the online shopping business
relies upon, human capital's contribution remains a crucial factor to contemplate. Accordingly,
any attempt directed at developing an equation to calculate online shopping businesses' capacity
must include human capital in the provisional equation. The paper outlines the demand concerns
in the Saudi Arabian online shopping business and further suggests a match strategy as the
proficient tool in handling the future.
Organizational capacity constitutes diverse considerations. Research articulated by Cox et
al. (2018) agrees with the alleged claim. According to Cox and the friends, providing a viable
formula to computing an organizational capacity requires a multidimensional model. As stated in
the introduction, organizational capacity constitutes the inputs of the employees. Therefore,
firstly, the equation will include determining the number of hours a single employee takes to
complete a unit of the task. The second step in the equation entails a multiplication of the
company’s work hours and divides it by the equivalent of the first computation. The result will
be the projected organizational capacity.
Equation: organizational capacity (I) = Total available hours (h) × number of personnel (p) ÷
hours to produce a unit (u)
Equation: I = h × p ÷ u
