Introduction.

One popular entrepreneur who has inspired and motivated me into considering venturing

into self-employment is the renowned Jeff Bezos. Jeff Bezos is a popular name worldwide as he

is known as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and founder of Amazon, one of the leading

global e-commerce platforms (Delventhal, 2020). He also owns The Washington Post and Blue

Origin, an aerospace firm that develops rockets for commercial use. Thanks to his successful

business ventures, he has grown to become the richest man on earth currently. As of October 11,

2020, Forbes (2020) had estimated his real-time net worth to be a whopping $193.1 Billion.

My Subject’s Business.

Jeff Bezos is popularly known as the founder and CEO of Amazon. Aside from owning

the e-commerce behemoth, he also owns the Washington Post as well as Blue Origin. Bezos

founded Amazon in 1994, which has now become the largest e-commerce company in America,

as well as a cloud computing giant (Fast Company, n.d). Amazon initially used its website to

market and sell books. It later expanded its shipping empire, inventory, and customer service,

allowing it to offer a wider variety of consumer goods, such as electronics, furniture, and clothes

(Fast Company, n.d). The website also offers digital content, such as mobile applications, music,

and movies.

The headquarters of the company is located in Seattle, Washington. Amazon now majors

in artificial intelligence, digital streaming, cloud computing, and e-commerce. It falls under the

category of America’s Big Four Companies in the Information Technology sector, together with

Facebook, Apple, and Google (Fast Company, n.d). The company is currently considered as the
