Introduction
National security is among the essential elements of any country, which is also why the
president is often the commander in chief of the defense forces and focuses on ensuring that the
country is safe from any nature of threats and attacks. The president is also responsible for the
nature of the relationship that a country shares with other countries, hence impacting the nature
of relationships and how they end up affecting the progress of the country. It then means that a
country with a president who does not manage their relationship with other countries is more
likely to enter into conflicts and even cause a reaction from other groups. The United States has
been known to have a robust defense system after the September 11 terrorist attacks on the twin
towers of the World Trade Center. The following paper focuses on the different perspectives of
September 11, as seen by George W Bush and how they would continue to impact his
presidency.
Defining moment
As a president, the safety of the citizens is often in the decisions that are made on the
nature of the relationship that should be made, and especially when they want to get back in
power again, they have to ensure that they stay in favor of the citizens. The United States has
been long known to be a democratic country that legally considers everyone equal and allows the
citizens to choose their leader freely. They would have an opportunity to run for two terms.
Therefore, it was the same reason that Bush had an obligation to ensure that he was making the
