The USA has three sections of the borderline security which are maritime, security of the land border and the maritime. Each is faced by various threats, for instance, maritime security faces the threat of terrorist penetration and the passage of illegal weapons (Bakir, 2016). They also face the threat of explosions from LPG terminals that are kept at the seaports due to interference from outside parties. Security breaches and insufficient background checks leave the ports vulnerable to attacks.
