INNOVATION AT INTERNATIONAL FOODS GROUP 2
Abstract
IT department faces challenges, especially when planning an innovation that they feel
would revolutionize their organization's marketing and competitiveness. Before its approval or
even rejection, the executives in any organization would scrutinize the idea in terms of its cost
against the anticipated return if it is implemented. On a similar note, IT department leaders, just
like Josh, are responsible for collating all department visionary ideas before moving forward to
the executive. While presenting the departmental proposal, the leader must be persuasive enough
to draw the seniors' attention to grant them the support needed to implement the proposal. Basing
a definite reference to the case study of International Foods Group, the paper gives details of the
IT department's challenges and the efforts they put in place to win the executives' confidence to
grant them support.
