Final Synopsis
Management information systems is about the study of technology, people,
businesses/organizations, and the relationships that are shared among them. Coming into this
class I felt like I had a general understanding but now I am able to fully grasp the entire concept
and all subsets. In this generation many companies are using management information systems
at a high rate. They use MIS to run a variety of aspects within their businesses; one of the main
reasons is because of the tight correlation between business and technology. Therefore,
management information systems are used throughout all levels of organizations to collect,
process, and store data. It is vital that effectiveness and efficiency is consistently increasing
throughout a company and understanding the importance of the utilization of MIS will help
anyone achieve that goal.
MIS is all about the maximization of the level of efficiency that a company, business, or
organization can achieve. One of the ways that MIS makes that possible is by creating and
allowing for people within a work space to not be individuals working alone on a single task.
Using management information systems creates the ability for data to be collected, analyzed,

accomplish things such as: improving wireless and mobile business processes and evaluating
networking options. Management information systems is about the realm of endless
possibilities there are in the business world to reach their strategic goals. Whether it may be
supply chain management, customer relationship management, or resource planning functions
under the bridge of MIS can encourage success in these areas as well as others. Management
information systems give an overall picture of a given company, it also acts as a planning and
communication tool within different levels. There are different levels in management and they
include the CIO and the CTO and these officers are responsible for the overall technology
strategy of the corporation. Just like the different levels of management there are various types
of information systems and they are used to extract data, and aid in the decision making
processes of middle and operational level managers.
Management information systems is all about the improvement in a given businesses’
decision making and , ability to identify the good and bad, and provide a way for organizations
