Global poverty
Global poverty experienced in modern society can be controlled. The global society is
made up of poor and financially stable individuals. Different people also suffer from different
types of challenges. However, the challenge of poverty can be mitigated following collective
efforts from the society members. Different types of excuses may hinder the sense of providing
help from stable individuals. However, none of the excuses can outweigh the need to save human
life. This paper follows two primary premises that explain society's obligation to assist the needy
and financially unstable individuals from succumbing to the effects of poverty.
Body
Extreme poverty is bad
Extreme poverty is a threat to global society. While different social classes are subject to
different types of challenges, the challenges are often related. For instance, one of the primary
causes of crimes in modern society is extreme poverty. Whenever some community members are
unable to afford food and other basic needs, they become more likely to engage in criminal
activities. Some of such crimes would be robbery and conning. Although the economically stable
individuals afford their basic needs, they become victims of the crimes resulting from poverty.
Therefore, everyone would agree that poverty is a global challenge and affects individuals from
all social classes.
Insignificant sacrifice
Controlling poverty does not require stable members of society to sacrifice a significant
amount of their resources. Following the discussion held on the first premise, this second
premise is half-way justified. This claim follows the sense that a bad thing should be avoided,
especially when the avoidance is done without applying a significant effort. However, some
