The global market is affected by environmental uncertainty. Businesses should, therefore
come up with strategies to enable them to gain competitive advantage and secure a wide pool of
customers. Demographic factors affect global business. Demographic factors include social
class, age, gender, income bracket, education levels, religion and geography (Onyusheva, &
Pombhejara, 2018). The level of education determines customers preferences and therefore,
should be considered when venturing in global markets. Age of the population determines the
type of products which are of high demand. All the factors should be considered for the success
of a global business.
Technology change has many advantages and disadvantages in the workplace.
Technology speeds up operations and increases efficiency. The workflow speed enables
employees to focus more on essential tasks. Decisions and adaptation to change are quick, and
this enables a business to gain a competitive advantage. Adoption of technology has introduced
new ways of storing and sharing crucial information (AlBar, & Hoque, 2019). Information is
safer and more convenient to access by the authorized persons. Technology has enhanced
communications, hence streamlining both external and internal relations. Automation enables
companies to reduce the number of employees, therefore saving on costs. Technology adoption
has some disadvantages to the business. Technology decreases employee morale as machines
replace many workers. Technology has a cost, which may be the costly than maintaining
employees in the workplace.
In the workplace Information technology (IT) is used to manipulate, store, transmit and
retrieve data. IT can result in beneficial changes in the workplace by supporting innovations,
