Case Study
Introduction
The case study is on a healthcare institution and the process of effecting change. It
involves an inter-professional team and the managerial system- these are the main components
involved in the decision-making process. The change is about the wait time and the duration of
time it takes a patient from admission to the necessary place of treatment. The implemented
strategy involved making changes in the triage policy to reduce the waiting time. The following
are questions and answers to the case study.
Question One
The management and inter-professional teamwork was effective in collaborating and
ensuring that the health institution changed for the better. For instance, the inter-professional
teamwork helped in the identification of the problem and came up with a solution that could help
the healthcare institution become better. The management on the other hand provided the inter-
professional teamwork with all the needed information and data to execute a plan and a solution.
The management also helped in the identification of different healthcare personnel each with
their skills and abilities that could form inter-professional teamwork. In essence, the inter-
professional teamwork worked towards change while the management provided all the necessary
resources to aid in this process.
Question Two
As the leader of this inter-professional team, it is my duty and responsibility to coordinate
and effect change. As a leader, I am supposed to act as an example as I am vital in ensuring the
