organization needs in order to strengthen the operation. Provide support for the rationale. Determine the

major issues that could affect the structuring, sourcing, purchasing, and the supply chain of your
organization. Provide a solution to each issue. Develop a total quality management tool that identifies
and analyzes any future issues. Provide a rationale for developing the selected tool. Analyze three (3)
advantages in employing the just-in-time philosophy in your organization. Evaluate three to five (3-5)
means in which the philosophy could potentially impact quality assurance. Provide specific examples to
support your response. Determine a qualitative and quantitative forecasting method for your operation.
Next, create a table in which you identify the characteristics of the operation that relate to each method.
Evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of each method. Use at least three (3) quality academic

Supply chain management is a very important department of the
organization because it helps the operation management of the
organization to pick up the finished goods from the inventory and deliver
it at the door of customers without any delay to satisfy their needs and
wants completely (Schwalbe, 2009). For completing these objectives
and aims of this assignment, the selected organizations are L & JG
Stickley Company. This organization produces the wood products along
with leather products such as table, chair, doors, etc. It alsoproduces oak
furniture that is a very old product line of the organizations (L. &
J.G. STICKLEY.,2013).

products. The
products are also directly related to the ecosystem of the societies.
Hence, the organization faces
huge problems due to the parent materials of the products that also
increases the risk to the
growth of the organization. Therefore, it could be stated that L&J.
G. Stickley Company has two
major weaknesses with its product line such as he timely delivery of the
products and low
demands of the products because of non-environmental nature of the
products (Woodall,
Spitzner, Montgomery & Gupta, 2004). The both weaknesses also
affect the product life cycle
(PLC) because every product gets the maturity in the target market in
less time that creates a
huge problem for the organization.
New Product Design and Product Selection to Improve PLC
The reduction in the demand causes negative impacts over the
organizations that forces
the production management people to reduce the production of existing
products. This change in
production policy also affects the delivery system of its existing products
to the existed
customers those are demanded its products because of the less

availability of the products at the
place of its distributors ((Woodall, Spitzner, Montgomery & Gupta,
2004). Hence, it is a basic
need of the L&J. G. Stickley Company to hold the sustainability of
its products in the market.
Therefore, the organizations should also use the alternative of oak and
leather such as
Bamboo and other wood that could easily get within the country without
affecting any ecological
concern. These options would also help the organizations to improve the
product life cycle of the
new products. On the other hand, the new products would be able to
improve the demand of its
products by which the company and its management could improve its
PLC. On the other hand,
the L&J. G. Stickley Company could also include some metallic
parts as a compliment that
would also improve the design of their products that would also improve
the product life cycle of
existing products (Pronovost, 2000). The organizations should also
import some part of its
products from other suppliers from outside the country that would also
improve the image of the
products and also encourage the customers to purchase its furniture
because of global look.
Strategies to Improve Operational Strength
Operational process of the organization that also includes the complete
supply chain is
also very important to improve the demand, PLC and reputation of the
