DESCRIBE DISEASE PROCESS AFFECTING PATIENT
(INCLUDE PATHOPHYSIOLOGY OF DISEASE PROCESS)
Juvenile or type 1 diabetes is a disease that results from the failure of the beta cells in the pancreas. Beta cells produce
insulin, which regulates blood glucose in the body. When the pancreas fails due to infections or by the body attacking its
own, it decreases insulin production and high glucose level known as hyperglycemia. Due to cell resistance to insulin, the
liver starts breaking fats and fatty acids to increase the cell's glucose level. Overproduction of insulin can be caused by the
high intake of insulin, starvation, low diet, alcoholism, and extreme exercise. This can lead to diabetic type 1 if blood
glucose is below the normal range of 70mg\dl.

The Patient had a low glucose
level. This was because he had
exercised extremely, and he was
emaciated. This extreme exercise
increased the beta cell in the
pancreas, therefore, lowering
glucose in the blood.

Uncooperative
High pulse rate
ANTICIPATED NURSING INTERVENTION
Diabetes awareness among the community is important to enlighten on,
Daily maintenance of normal blood glucose effectively on enhancing daily exercise, proper diet,
