Introduction
Leith Bistro restaurant has an admirable business model that has facilitated adequate
service provision and considerable profit margins. This is occasioned by the steady flow of
customers, delicious and affordable cuisines, and excellent customer service. While these facets
have a substantial impact on the firm’s short-term productivity, market and environmental
conditions threaten their long-term viability. For example, the management records high
turnaround times, where customers wait for too long to be served while others give up on long
queues. Also, the sudden and heightened competition within a mile radius is a threat to this
business model. Such facets have a considerable impact on the market share and productivity of
the firm.
This occasions the development and deployment of practical strategies to ensure suitable
business models for the chain’s long-term operations. For example, Leith Bistro restaurant should
revitalize its strategy and service mechanisms to develop a sustainable competitive edge. This is a
critically important facet in business management, which can sustain a business venture, especially
with exceptional attributes that are hard to imitate for rivals. The paper analyzes the viability of
