Should the death penalty be legal?
Thesis statement
The purpose of this paper will be to bring awareness of whether someone's right to live should be
negotiated in a court of law.
Outline
This paper will examine the Death penalty as a debatable current world issue. It brings a
broad definition of the true meaning of murder sentence and shows the arguments regarding its
implementations (Brainard, 2018). Deterrence and the death penalty cost are the main points of
discussion, which will be brought into analysis by the use of evidence. However, the essay will
show evidence to back the debate on and against the death penalty. Hence, in addressing this
issue, it is usually a problem to rely on evidence alone. All the same, it sums up the allegation of
our very own definition of the death penalty and how its policies would greatly affect the citizens
of the USA.
Cost Analysis
Cost analysis is a major priority for the implementation of any policy in the United States
of America. Almost all states pay great attention to the cost that a policy will have towards its
state budget. All in all, the cost of sentencing a criminal to death is not left out of this argument.
Those in support and those against it have argued their views with the death penalty cost in mind
(Scubas, 2019). Those against the death penalty have argued that the definition of cost analysis
in the death penalty is where we can begin this subject. One conducts a cost analysis starting
from the steps in the death penalty case, that is, investigations, trials, and the processes of
