Amazon is a leader in the cloud service providers. The free course allowed me to
learn more about their services and understand how the company works from a technical
perspective. I must admit, doing the tests at the end was not easy, and although I tried and
scored well, I felt I would have done better. There are several exciting things I learned about
AWS. First, I got to understand why many people trust Amazon as a cloud service provider.
Data storage on the cloud has become essential, and Amazon fills this gap by ensuring that
their services are convenient, reliable, and secure. Amazon takes data security very seriously.
In the third module, I got to learn some basics concerning cloud service models.
Before taking this lesson on AWS, I heard not known what the infrastructure of a cloud
service entails. I got to learn three basic models here: PaaS, SaaS, and IaaS. These are the
three choices that cloud users have when storing their data on the cloud. I learned an
important lesson here; when you want to decide on either of the three models, the main
question you should ask yourself is; what do I need to use the cloud for? Do I need a
platform, an application of infrastructure? The answer to these questions determines the
choice of the model most applicable to your needs.
In a nutshell, I can say that learning on AWS was exciting and insightful. It felt nice
to learn about one of the giants in the Information Technology field, especially now when
cloud storage has become essential. I felt like I was a part of the great team at Amazon. This
experience motivated me to venture into software development and data analysis. I would
like to pursue a technical training course in the area of software development in the future. As
an engineering student, I was keen on every technical detail, and I believe that this
knowledge is useful to m future practice. The user-interface features supported and value for
the cost are some of the technical details I have found to be essential in software design.
