BRAND MANAGER 2
Brand Manager Analysis
Branding, especially in the current competitive market, is a vital aspect of any business'
success. Branding goes beyond creating a reasonable logo; it entails creating an image that
would attract more customers, give employees motivation and direction and, establish the
business in the marketing world. The business' design will influence the customer's perception of
the business besides directing the advertising and marketing approach the business will take. A
brand may entail the whole company's description or just a logo that represents the company's
reputation. For instance, when one sees a tick on any clothing merchandise, they automatically
associate it with Nike. This popularity is due to the efforts implored by Nike in establishing their
brand in the competitive market. Branding is, therefore important in creating trust with the
clients, improving recognition, helping in the advertisement, creating financial value and,
inspiring employees.
Despite Nike's global recognition, its ambassador's choice is essential since the
ambassador represents the company. It is therefore important for the brand managers to connect
with clients since they are the guardians of the brand. The brand ambassador must ensure that the
marketing resonates with the customer's potential by connecting with them. It is for this reason
that brand managers for companies such as Nike are required to travel to most entertainment and
sporting events.
Nike's target market is sports enthusiasts and entertainment circles. Nike, therefore, tends
to choose brand ambassadors that are recognized in the entertainment and sporting circles since
they connect more with the intended market. Similarly, these managers travel to sporting events
so as to connect with their fans on a personal level and, in turn, market the brand.
