Ethical Reasoning
Question 1
The documentary focuses on the effort being made by Miami to protect the city from rising seas waters and
storm surges that frequently happen. The rising seas and violent storm surges pose a significant threat to the city's
business economy and tourism sector. The documentary's main aim was to educate people on the ethical, political,
and economic impact of climate change and sea rise (PBS, 2020). The main ethical problem that approached was
whether people should be moved from Miami because of the dangers of sea rise or the government should build
walls to protect them from the dangers. Therefore, there are issues of conflict leading to moral dilemmas. People
have the right to welfare, and the government should protect them from any calamity, but the dilemma comes in
because there are those with properties in Miami, and others have stayed there for more than a hundred years. Thus,

that brings happiness to the people despite the processes undertaken (St Petersburg College, 2020).
Question 2

theories are the opposite of each other. Utilitarianism argues that if an action creates happiness for many people, it
should be performed regardless of its morality and imperatives. On the other hand, deontology states that an action
