A law firm has contracted CyberTech as a cyber forensic advisor in a cyber hacking case

presented by the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) due to its leading cyber forensic

expertise through unbiased analysis and technical skills. Besides, CyberTech is looking at a

different case whereby Equation Set, a US-based company, is accused of hacking a non-US

based hacking company, Anomalous. These opportunities, however, are associated with feasible

conflicts of interest. It is conflicting that CyberTech is representing Anomalous that is the main

suspect in the OPM hack and at the same time, looking at the case hacking case of Anomalous

by Equation Set. CyberTech represents some OPM clients in other unrelated cases, which further

raises eyebrows due to its conflicting nature. The paper will analyze ways of maintaining

CyberTech as an unbiased consultant, possible solutions to the cases faced, and the possible

outcomes with solutions.

Priorities for CyberTech

Maintaining an unbiased image is a priority of every company; hence CyberTech

management should determine the priorities and possible methods of optimizing the outcomes

during decision making. Every company prioritizes, giving the clients the best outcome to create

the right image for current and future clients. The management has a responsibility to protect the

client at all costs; however, concentrating entirely on the client may arm the CyberTech image.

In our case, the best outcome for Anomalous would be to forgive them for the OPM hack and

find Equation Set liable for hacking them. However, after analysis, this may be false allegations

that can damage the company’s image to the future clients and consequently draw attention from

the government for investigations.

Another priority that CyberTech can use is to precedence the entire project's financial

outcome by entirely focusing on maximizing the profits. The management can determine the
