How do organizational theories that address individual and group behavior influence job
analysis and classification themes?
Organization theory discusses a set of correlating concepts, characterizations that explain the
behavior of individuals or a group of people. It is usually people who interrelate with each other
to perform activities that are geared towards the fulfilment of a specific objective or goal
(Haveman et al,2019). In other words, organization theory is concerned with studying the effects
that social relationships that occur between individuals who work within the same organization
have on the overall organization. It goes further to explain to determine the impact of the internal
and external environment of the business. The main aim of organization theory is to study the
relationships between individuals and groups within the organization to gauge the effect they
have on the overall performance of the organization. Organization theory draws its knowledge
from several disciplines.
When it comes to job analysis, it can be defined as the process of reviewing and
accumulating information relating to operations and tasks of a particular job. It means taking an
in-depth look into a position to determine what responsibilities and skills are required to
accomplish the job entirely. Organizational theory plays a big part in job analysis when it comes
to job analysis the right people for the job need to be chosen (Ferdous et al, 2019). Organization
theory comes and accesses the candidate who is fit for the job. When it comes to who will
occupy a particular position in the organization, organizational theory comes up with
qualifications that the right candidate needs to possess for the job to be performed at an optimal
level. These qualifications include the personal attributes of the candidate. Qualities like
experience, organizational theory can determine the level of expertise required by a candidate for
a particular job.
