Do I see if the Quotes are related to the Movement?
I see that these quotes are related to the #Black Lives Matter Movement in many ways.
Firstly, they all reveal how the dominant public usually perceive that marginalized groups ought
to use persuasion in a bid for airing their grievances. Nonetheless, they have identified that
persuasion is hardly enough to trigger substantive transformation (Chavez, 2019). Secondly, they
all connect given that their leaders have effectively displayed their supremacy and drawn
attention to their ideologies by forcing their messages on the citizens. Furthermore, they all
intend to address the rights of the marginalized people in society. In this case, they are covering
the privileges that are not received by the African Americans.
In addition, they have all noticed that the concept of acoustical agency can create change.
In this phenomenon, sound is used as a potential for agency. Besides, the public has used noise to
actively oppose each day discrimination soundscape instead of remaining to be passive listeners.
They also all relate given that they all deduce that different tactics can play pivotal roles in
bringing hope (Chavez, 2019). In the diverse strategies, the protestors are using teachings of
hope in that, they perceive that by exposure and time, they will be able to bring down the system
that has oppressed them.
They are all further witnessing counterattack from libertarian figures who perceive that
they should not use speech or other means to address the problems they face. This backlash
attempts to maintain the status quo by turning the citizen's attention away from the issues that the
activists are addressing. Moreover, they are all pragmatic in their methods of interfering with the
