Explain principles of care for clients with oncological disorders
One of the most complex elements in medical care is treating cancer. Treating cancer
involves having a team that comprises of different kinds of doctors who work together. Cancer
treatment also involves other types of health care practitioners. Some of the involved doctors and
health care practitioners include pharmacists, social workers, physiotherapists, radiation therapists,
nurses, pathologists, surgeons, radiation oncologists, medical oncologists, other specialists such as
gynecologists, and primary care doctors (Giger & Haddad, 2020). Notably, any cancer treatment
plans consider not only the type of cancer but also include genetic traits, its stage, and location,
among other particular traits of the patient under treatment.

electrolyte imbalances involve enacting safety measures. Some of the safety measures that nurses
can effectively use include lowering the position of the bed, frequently observing the patient, using
soft restraints on the patient, and using side rails on the bed (Giger & Haddad, 2020). The
significance of using these safe and effective nursing care for patients who experience fluid and
electrolyte imbalances is because shifts in the fluid will result in changes in the patient’s mentation
and cerebral edema. The most affected population is the geriatric ones.
