ITT-370: DESIGNING A WIRELESS NETWORK PART 2 2
ITT-370: Designing a Wireless Network Part 2
The primary reason why a wireless network is implemented in this organization is to
make communication easy and to share resources. The users in the organization will use the
wireless network to talk to one another, search content from the internet, for multimedia
purposes, among many other reasons. The wireless network under discussion is intended to offer
video conferencing services, cellular telephone services, Televisions Services, Paging services,
and Radio Services. The wireless network will be a combination of satellite, TV broadcasting,
Cellular Communication, and Wi-Fi services. The devices will vary depending on the service
required. Other factors will determine the type of devices to be used. Among them are the size,
speed, shape, cost, and throughput of the data (Electronics hub, 2017).
The satellite communication services and applications will facilitate worldwide
communication between users and other people in the world. This will be possible because of its
ability to offer internet services, broadcasting, and mobile services. The mobile phone
applications will provide Bluetooth services, Wi-Fi services as well as Radio services. All the
other applications and services will ease the way of communication and sharing of data and other
resources within the organization is done (Electronics hub, 2017).
The wireless network intends to support around thirty users. The users are distributed in
various departments. For example, there will be four users in the reception, ten in the
departmental business offices, two in the manager's office, five in the consultation rooms, six in
the central area, and two in the lab. There will be a maximum of between twelve to fifteen users
sharing the same access point. The neighbors and the customers will not be direct consumers of
the wireless network.
