Each blessed Lady that in Virtue spends / Your pretious time to beautifie your soules; /
Come wait on her whom winged Fame attends (Lanyer Lines 1-3)
These lines talk about the lady who an individual can spend time on and benefit their
souls. The lines elaborate on the benefits of precious time towards the soul, and this is
interesting. If a man spends most of his time with the woman, the woman sees the benefit she has
to the man; thus, she will treat the man with respect and love. The poet shows concern about
what an individual can benefit when he decides to spend time with the blessed lady.
When a man does not spend time with the lady, it may cause some trouble because of
loneliness. An example is from the story of Adam and Eve, where Eve left with the snake when
Adam was not around. From the poem, the time aspect also boosts faith and trust between a man
and a woman, and this is essential as they continue to grow as a couple. In modern society, ladies
need a lot of attention from men to boost trust and faith and avoid cases like cheating. Thus, men
tend to cheat a lot, and women believe that if they are given enough attention and time, it is
evident that their men are not cheating. Furthermore, ladies need a lot of attention to whatever
the man is doing as they won’t tolerate a busy man.

“And gins to chide, but soon she stops his lips / And kissing speaks, with lustful language
broken, / If thou wilt chide, thy lips shall never open” (Shakespeare lines 47-49)
The stanza shows how the love can be shown by the couple. If there is compassion in
love, the bond between the involved parties is deemed to be very strong. Otherwise, they could
end up drifting away from one another and ultimately fall out of love. The story relates to how
my father always says he got my mother. They were in quarantine, and they kept on video
calling, and my mother felt that it was an opportunity to give my father a chance, which is how
they ended up being happily married. Thus, my father has enjoyed some privileges like getting
food already prepared for him; his clothes are washed, and so on. Consequently, it gives him joy,
and from the passage, the beautiful soul that the poet indicated is evident in this case. Suppose
the attention is lost by any chance, love, and care decrease because the lady can see that her
importance from the man has diminished. Thus, this changes the situation from a beautiful soul
to a sad soul.
Afterwards a boy-child was born to Shield, / a cub in the yard, a comfort sent / by God
to that nation. / He knew what they had tholed / the long times and troubles they'd come through
without a leader (Heaney Lines 12-13)
The lines talk about how a boy-child is born to protect the weak in the society as per the
powers from the Lord of life. Thus, this can show the world what the community expects from a
man or a boy-child. At a certain age, the boy is now likely to have the guts to represent the
Shield and act like a leader. The thematic value of the lines is supported by adding the fact that
there was imminent dangers facing the community’s overall safety from monsters such as
Grendel. This is essential as it describes how the community may get into trouble without a
