A. Perform A SWOT Analysis of the Existing It Infrastructure
1. Evaluation of the Existing Strengths of the Current IT Infrastructure
First, it is site interconnectivity. The firm has extensive networks that connect the
headquarters and other remote sites. The approach enhances virtual relationships that bolster
collaboration of workers. Equally, it ensures that IT infrastructure is coordinated from a central
area. Second, it is the expertise of the employees. The company has knowledgeable workers in
various departments, including the IT department. Their skills and experiences are essential in
eliminating potential cyber security leakages. Third, it is the deployment of production status
reporting system. The framework is pivotal in addressing the underlying maintenance costs and
efficiency of the IT infrastructure. Fourth, it is the continued upgrade of the IT infrastructure.
The company upgrades its IT infrastructure regularly. Based on the dynamics therein, a recent
upgrade was undertaken. The regular upgrades enable the firm to expand its server storage
capacity to meet the changes in demand.
2. Evaluation of the Existing Weaknesses of the Current It Infrastructure
First, it uses outdated encryption techniques in its wireless security. The Wi-Fi Protected
Access (WPA) is an old approach that is easily porous and vulnerable to intrusion. Equally, it
uses Media Access Control (MAC) that can be bypassed by hackers (Dotoli et al., 2019).
Second, it is a low server capacity. The firm's server capacity is unable to accommodate its
current demands. Third, its external drive security comprises of multiple security features that
make it vulnerable. Employees can use flash drives and USBs to download sensitive information;
