Attribution Theory 2
The attribution theory discusses how and why people explains things and try to make sense
in real social world. It was introduced by psychologist Fritz Heider whereby he explains the causes
of individual behavior and actions. Fritz Heider (1958) elaborates how an individual understands
the actions and in what manner they relate to the individual thinking behavior. The theory tends to
illustrate specific personal questions, (how others do and what they do) (Hewett, Shantz, Mundy,
& Alfes, (2018). This explains how some individuals interpret themselves and why some people
do something that might be attributed to other people's behavior. There are two forms of ascriptions
elaborated on in the artefact; intentionality and deceptive intentionality attribution perceptions.
This paper tends to discuss how the theory of attribution influences the implementation of
innovation in technologies and also attribution based- perspectives.
The advancement of technology in many countries and globally has contributed to the
growth of innovation, which has rapidly changed competition in the business environment. Recent
studies indicate that invention's accomplishment not only depends on the implementation of
innovation but entails workers' steady application of invention, explicitly basing their devotion on
application (Hewett, Shantz, Mundy, & Alfes, 2018). Researchers have incorporated various
theories to explain employees' insights and behavior in the direction of innovation. However, as
employees' work in determining the application of innovation process and results is perilous, the
mode in which they respond towards invention needs to be understood.
