The objective of the report is to give an analysis of the data and determine the
effectiveness of the new Pastas R US.inc's loyalty card program. Analysis of real data
provides an insight into the business trend. For a company to determine whether the
sales are increasing or not and the factors that contribute to either of the cases, proper
statistical analysis is required. Additionally, analysis enhances the ability to pinpoint
precise areas of improvement or those offering opportunities. This analysis takes a
deeper look at the company's data to help discover such areas (Smith, 2020). The
statistical analysis will help provide the perfect way to improve the expansion criteria.
This will provide opportunities for the organization to make more sales per annum.
Moreover, it will also help support vital decisions to be made by the management on
the business's progress and expansion. Facets such as annual sales per square feet will
significantly provide insight on areas offering the best opportunity.
The current data contains various attributes essential for this analysis. These
include the square feet, sales per person, percentage sales growth over the previous
year, percentage loyalty card sales, annual sales per square feet, median income,
median age, and percentage of a bachelor's degree in a 3-mile radius. All the data has
been collected on all the seventy-four restaurants owned by Pastas R Us, inc. One of
the emphasized variables was the percentage of loyalty card sales and the annual sales
per square feet. Additionally, the regression analysis and scatter plots for the variables
pairs, BachDeg% versus Sales/SqFt, MedIncome versus Sales/SqFt, MedAge versus
Sales/SqFt, LoyaltyCard(%) versus sales growth(%) were created. Regression
analysis is a good study for the cause and effect in business. It offers a way to
determine the most effective and ineffective business activities.
The below regression graphs were obtained from the analysis of the respective data.
