Target Corporation is an American-based retail-oriented company. It is ranked eighth as
the United States, and its shares are publicly stated in the stock and market index. In 1962, the
already established company from its parent branch of Dayton company in Minneapolis in
Minnesota; its expansion began in the eighties that led to the rebranding to the current day Target
brand in the nineties. Dayton-Huston corporation permanently changed its name to Target Corp.
in 2000. The corporation has largely expanded with the growth leading to the massive chain store
development. The organization suffered a massive breach in its clientele's credit information,
which led to the diminishing of its subsidiary in Canada. The company is currently ranked thirty-
seventh in Fortune 500. The corporation currently has one thousand eight hundred and forty-
four. The corporation's strategy incorporated its discount stores, the hypermarket, and the
previously known Target Express and City Target, later included in the main subsidiary under
