MOBILE COMPUTING IN BUSINESS
Mobile computing in Business
Development in technology has changed the manner in which people share and access
information. Some of these changes include access to computing nodes and network
connectivity. These services include networking, servers, networking, data storage and software.
Cloud computing refers to the process of delivering various services through the internet. The
increase in the use of mobile devices has also changed the way in which computing is one. It
entails remotely storing information on a cloud or a virtual space. This therefore makes sure that
if an electronic device has access to this storage then it also has access to the information (Peng
et.al, 2018). Mobile computing has therefore enabled people to make use of available resources
such as computing nodes. This is carried out through shared resources such as MANET. The
main idea behind MANET and mobile computing is sharing of information. People are able to
share data and information by use specific application on their mobile devices such as Bluetooth.
Mobile computing has made it easier for businesses to share data. This is because the
mobile devices allow users to access and share information from any part of the world. There is
also no need for prior communication before sharing of information. Furthermore, people are
able to share network facilities such as LAN and WLAN through the use mobile computing. This
means that more people are able to access such network facilities without having to incur the cost
of installing their own network infrastructure.
Cloud computing has reduced the costs of software solutions for companies. More
companies are adapting cloud computing since it is reliable, secure, scalable and has mobility.
Through the use of cloud computing, companies can either downscale or upscale their IT needs.
