BankCo Inc. Case Study
Introduction
BankCo Inc. is a giant consumer bank with branches spread across more than 100
countries. This case study focuses on its subsidiaries in Asia, Africa, and Europe. The firm
evolved from multiple multinational corporations (MNC’s) and moved towards a single global
brand, which led to the change of names of most of its country-specific activities, adoption of a
shared corporate identity, and international standards (Lee-Kelley & Sankey, 2007). Due to its

a single brand was costly in information technology; thus, the management resorted to virtual

what they were expected to do. The leaders' role requires appropriate communication avenues to
aid delegation of duties, information sharing, and guiding the teams on what should be done.
However, this was not possible due to a lack of appropriate medium for the leaders to engage
