The question is asking about absolute freedom and absolute security. There is no such a thing.
Freedom is elusive. If you are mentally ill you may think that you are free but it is your disease
which is controlling you. If you are preconditioned by your upbringing, education, religion (and
who is not?) then you are not really free because you are doing exactly what you are expected to
do. And then most of us still have to work (otherwise we will starve), which makes us even less
free. Security is also an illusion. Who exactly is going to guarantee it? Maybe your leader, who is
corrupt? And why someone would care about your security if you are not free and anyhow have
no say?. Absolute security cannot be achieved and complete freedom does not exist.
However, we can exchange some security for some freedom. This is called risk taking behavior.
Most of us do it every day. You have to take risks to achieve success. But those who do it too
much end up in jail or just dead, without any freedom.
In true reality, there is no such thing as absolute freedom and security by worldly things,
nor is any human being capable of being a direct source. The only being that possesses and
controls such absolutism is an absolute power (God). Humans are only capable of being a slave
to something. We always need to depend on something to fulfill our needs, natural and self-
created. Freedom and security are only two of them. While we can choose to be a slave to the
worldly things that fulfill these needs, we may place ourselves in the illusion that these are
absolute sources, and that they will always be there to sustain us, or be capable of doing so.
But some of us who are more aware do see that there is no worldly absolute source in itself, and
instead will always try to seek the best worldly source to be a slave to, in order to satisfy best the
natural and self-created needs.
It is in a human being's true nature to be a slave. If we are fully aware and understand that
only an absolute being can possess absolute freedom and security, it means that to be a slave to
