Mindful leaders focus on the vision and goals of the organization. Notably, mindfulness
practice in leadership increases health, reduces stress, and positively affects transformational
leadership (Burmansah et al., 2020). In this regard, mindful leadership heightens performance
and intrinsic motivation. Mindfulness increases a leader’s effectiveness and reduces stress,
meaning that it becomes easier for them to motivate employees and establish sustainable
development in their organization. Mindful leaders have skills in self-care, love, awareness, care
for nature, and care for others (Burmansah et al., 2020). These skills are needed to create good
governance and establish sustainable development. Since such leaders have high motivation in
giving their services to others, they motivate people.
Practicing mindfulness helps a leader gain other’s attention, increase productivity,
performance and satisfaction at work. More so, the affiliation between coworkers improves.
Thus, mindfulness reduces stress at work, and that can help to motivate employees. Mindful
leaders create an organizational culture that is mindful, thus changing how people in the
organization respond to difficult work hours, which in turn changes the organizational culture
(Burmansah et al., 2020).
Mindful leaders ensure that their teams and the organization have an awareness of the
tasks and teach them to shift between reflections and actions (Burmansah et al., 2020). Such
leaders motivate people because they experience the internal and external world; thus, they direct
the individual and team on the present situation. Additionally, mindful leaders combine attention
and reflection when communicating successful vision when creating understanding strategic
