Topic: Quality Management
Quality management refers to the art of monitoring various tasks and activities of the
organization to ensure that services and goods are offered in the most effective and agreed
manner. Quality management includes implementing and creating assurance and quality
planning, determining a quality policy, and quality improvement and quality control. In the
aviation business, a quality structure comprises the set of procedures, processes, and policies
required to forecast and implement efficient and safe air operations. Moreover, the aviation
industry makes sure that it produces services and products that are cheaper, better, and faster
than its competitors (Marion et al., 2021). As an industry, aviation is an environment made up of
several risks. In literature, quality management has gained a high degree of attention. Numerous
research papers attribute superior firm performance to the adaption of quality management
practices.
Furthermore, many scholarly articles that investigate the effect of quality management
practices on performance give an ideal for refinement and theory extension using meta-analysis
techniques. However, the management control model in the quality management field is viewed
as important in describing the changes necessary for maintaining high levels of quality (Marion
et al., 2021). The automotive research sector concluded a shift in quality management systems
from a diagnostic to a more interactive approach. Therefore, based on the understanding of
quality management and its relationship or importance in the aviation industry, the research
question to be explored is;
What is the impact of quality management in the aviation industry?
