Impact of health sector financing and policy on healthcare
Health-care financing and policy form one of the crucial components of the health
systems. The healthcare system in the United States is technologically advanced but also
expensive (Rice et al., 2018). Therefore, the existing health reforms and policies attempt to
address the issues emanating from financings, such as provider payment incentives, distribution
of financial risks, and mobilization of funds. Healthcare providers in the United States are paid
by either government insurance programs or private insurance. Besides, the government offers
direct health care in public hospitals as well as clinics staffed with government health workers.
