Results
Riverbend City data was collected through four main ways to ensure that fine details on
the community problem were effectively captured. The choice of effective method of data
collection influences successful research (Schilling, 2019). The methods that were used include
questionnaires, observations, surveys, and interviews. The data collection was targeted to ensure
that the largest part of the community was captured. Questionnaires were issued to both the
general public and the employees in the program to establish problems that might have caused
the high-level school dropout in the city. The observation involved studying the youths' behavior
on the streets to examine whether there are environmental factors that were causing the problem.
Surveys were issued to members of the public and employees of the program to address the
issues of concern. The respondents in the surveys were encouraged to ensure openness as they
address the questions. The respondents were very cooperative, which helped to understand some
of the dynamics affecting the behavior of youths in the city. The interviews involved face-to-face
conversations with the participants on matters that affect society. There were both closed and
open-ended questions that involved analyzing the issues that looked controversial in the
community.
The response to the data collection tools was outstanding, and most people agreed to
respond to the information. School dropout and juvenile offending had become an issue of
concern, and the members of the community were ready to cooperate and eradicate the concerns.
The questionnaires that were issued during the data collection were 100. The participants were
selected randomly to ensure there was no form of bias. Random sampling is essential in
eliminating any form of bias in data collection. Out of the 100 questionnaires, 75 participants
responded to the questions addressed. The response to the questionnaires was 75%. The
