INPUT OUTPUT DEVICES IN AVIATION (CPDLC)
Thesis: One of the things technology and education have in common with each other is that they
are constantly changing and evolving. With new technology arriving on the scene every year
that can aid in the aviation world. It seems to me that input-output devices become more and
more vital.
1) Technology being created for aviation currently as well as the future needs to be more time
and cost efficient, with fewer interruptions, and safer for airspace.
A) It has been proven repeatedly that flying is the safest way to get from point A to
point B.
B) Aircraft traffic worldwide is continuously increasing yearly.
C) Due to the high volume of air traffic, aircraft are separated 1000ft in flight level to
ensure safety while managing productivity.
D) If the workforce is properly trained the percentage of serious or fatal errors can be
reduced while staying efficient and on mission.
2) The Controller-Pilot Data Link Communication is a text-based communication tool that
allows Air Traffic Control and aircrew to communicate.
A) Allows communication between aircrew in the air, and air traffic controllers on the
ground.
