Introduction
Team creation requires a balance of the available skills and business performance
necessary experiences to address the current problems experienced by a business. The team
created must enhance high business performance and consistently maintain the performance. For
each team made, each team member's roles are clearly defined and well aligned with the
business's goals and objectives. The team should also address any conflicts that may arise within
the team or interested groups (Kotter & Cohen, n.d.). In this discussion, we select a cross-
functional team we wish to establish and elaborate on this team's importance within an
organization.
Functions of A Cross-Functional Team
A cross-functional team consists of various groups of people who play different roles but
have common objectives. The team comprises individual representatives from multiple
departments selected to work on one or more projects (Cui, 2015). These individuals are aware
of the challenges emanating from the respective departments. Therefore, they can offer collective
solutions for the benefits of the organization. Also, the cross-functional team requires the
expertise and contribution of ideas to tackle specific tasks from its team members.

A cross-functional team entirely relies on skill sets presented by the members for it to be
