St. Mary’s Wellness center has its past identified as a regional health center with a vast of
activities incorporating diagnostics, all types of treatment and emergency services. However, the
necessity of engaging the community in all operations sounds like a new path for the center.
Based on this, the context has its focus on developing the new mission and vision statements, the
strategy implemented by the leadership team, rival organizations and finally, factors that may
affect the implementation process (Berkowitz,1997).
Mission statement
St. Mary’s Wellness Center is a facility that upholds the absolute tradition of constantly
taking care of the community by maintaining, improving and promoting health through
professionalism, services and education believed to assure quality care, fiscal integrity and
patient safety.
Vision statement
To emerge as one trusted leader in advancing health and taking care of people with the
central purpose of promoting a healthy community.
Type of strategy in pursuit
The center is in pursuit of a customer empowerment strategy believed to compel the
leadership team to further involve patients and clients in the healthcare process. The strategy
bridges the sense of belonging among potential patients who will keep on identifying themselves
