Fuentesโ initial fraction=1/32
Theuleโs initial fraction=3/32
When they combine their land, total fraction becomes 1/32+3/32 = 4/32 = 1/8
3. Lapp and Wong went on a land-buying spree and bought up all of section 18. Lapp
bought all of Gardella's, Fuentes's and Fitz's land. Wong bought the rest.

own?
Let area of section 18 be x
Lappโs initial area = 2x*1/8
Gardellaโs initial are = 2x*3/32
Fuentesโs initial area = 2x*1/32
Fitzโs initial are = 2x*5/64
So total new area owned by Lapp = 2x*1/8 + 2x*3/32 + 2x*1/32 + 2x*5/64
= 2x* (1/8+3/32+1/32+5/64)
= 2x*21/64
