Introduction
Information systems were developed in order to assist with the automation of many
menial tasks and complex tasks which are time consuming but must be performed.
Automated systems allow users to gain access to needed data without spending countless
hours gathering and compiling data into a format that is useable for the end user.
Automating systems allows users to spend more time on important tasks and less time
data mining making them more productive.
Business Process Review and Proposal
In reviewing the tasks which I perform on a daily basis I have identified many tasks
which can be automated to increase my efficiency and productivity. Currently, I am
responsible for the daily operations and maintenance of the hospital’s network which,
consists of its servers, routers, switches, telecommunications, and user account
administration. The list below captures the tasks I currently perform on these systems.
