AUTISTIC COMMUNITY 2
Autistic Community
Judy and Ben were very confident to explain how taking care of an autism kid is a
challenging task. They told me how, at first, they were confused because they did not know
what was troubling their kid. The separation was always considered. Being financially stable
and even being supportive of their children did not stop challenges from coming their way
(Poirier,2008). Olivia would align all her things in a very precise manner such as toys and
other materials, in case anyone changed them, she got irritated for days. She is three years
old, and she cannot speak or show any indication of speech; therefore, it gave them a reason
to take her to the hospital.

they were brought up, their culture, and how they will transition it to their kids. The interview
culminated as if they knew me before to the extent of sharing a meal with me. Being a young
couple in their late 20s and having found that their kid was autistic was quite an experience to
me. They are a very caring couple that was not ready for that. It was a big privilege of having
