1. “King Philip’s War.” Examine the depiction of King Philip’s War (Metacom’s War).
As one of the most convenient wars to ever happened, King Phillips war battled
between Native Americans and the New England fighters. For the sake of protecting his
people’s survival, Massasoit’s son Metacom decided to launch war against the English due to
disobeying his father’s previous agreement terms that were made between them (Pike, 2020).
Innovation made the New England soldiers to be more advantageous level than the Native
Americans as it is depicted. While the Native American warriors were just armed with arrows
and bows, New England fighters were equipped with muskets mounted by knives called
flintlocks. The encounter illustrated in the scenario shows that Native American warriors
were less superior to the New England Soldiers.
What advantages might the Native Americans have had that are not depicted here?
At the beginning of the war the Native American were at an advantage. The English
soldiers were outnumbered when the Native American soldiers decided to merge with other
tribes despite the fact that their population had increased in growth from when they arrived.
In this picture, it is not shown how the Native American warriors had an advantage over the
British due to their superior militant tactical techniques (Braund, 2017). As portrayed in this
sense, the picture shows how both sides came one on one while getting ready for the battle;
however the truth is the Native American warriors camouflaged while taking advantage of
the English soldier’s terrain before attacking them.
They attacked the English soldiers by successfully combining their stealthy abilities
and their knowledge of the land. Due to their tactical capabilities and abilities, the Native
American warriors were surrounded by many advantages unlike what it appears due to being
less equipped and lack of innovation than the English soldiers. To improve their capability to
battle with Native American warriors, the British soldiers had to identify the advantages of
