understand why the sport is highly respected due its ability to respect the environment, the
ability to reduce their engine consumption rate and finally, the fact that the teams are the
beneficiaries of the sport. By the way the sport has shown the willingness to reduce carbon
emissions to the atmosphere is one of the reasons the sport can be categorized as one of the

This is the best way a sport can give back to the communities involved. The sport decided to
reduce the use of their v8 engines to v6 engines that consume less. The vehicles consume less
from 2.4 litres to the newly modelled 2014 1.6 litre engine capacity vehicles. The sport also
decided to enhance their energy consumption systems; the vehicles spend a minimum of
100kgs of fuel which means they reduced with a 35 percent from what was previously used.
The sport also decided to pay 63 percent of its profit as prize money to the team members.
This is a way of giving back to the people that make the sport more popular. In 2013, as
reported by Telegraph Newspaper, the underlying profit was amounting to $863.1 million.
