Ari and his journey through silence Silenced voices: ​The condition or quality of being or keeping still and silent.​ In the novel, ​Aristotle and Dante Discover The Secrets of the Universe by Benjamin Saenz, a young teen named Ari who was a loner soon met Dante which who he became friends with later on had a really deep relationship for each other.​ Ari risked his life jumping in front of a car to save Dante which ended up injuring him , and Dante took care of Ari such as helping him doing things; such as taking care of his dog.​ Ari and Dante even have a closer relationship when they learn just more about each other and their parents. Saenz shows deliberately that some people such as Ari is silenced within a society because they go against social norms, they are confused and lastly because of anger.
