My teaching philosophy emphasises creating value to provide a quality learning experience.
Inspired by Aristotle one of the great philosophers of education, I implement my teaching philosophy
through the following:
1. Acknowledgement
2. Wonder or Thought
3. Oral and Written Communication

Understanding the purpose of learning is acknowledging its ability to inspire, motivate and shape
paths. A student being merely present in a classroom is not enough. It is the educator’s job to
assimilate knowledge into a positive learning environment by informing the reason behind learning
every subject through objectives.

The act of wonder or thought is a reaction to retrieving knowledge a state of reflective intellectual
activity. An interest that requires research as the brain seeks a response to its enquiry. Making sense
of the fragments of sentences cannot be done alone. As an educator, I must assist in recognising
patterns, continuity and irregularity. Confront misunderstandings and incomprehension by applying
various methodological approaches.

A way of organising knowledge and fragments of sentences gathered in thought is through oral and
written communication. The nature of learning takes acknowledgement to wonder or thought, from
wonder or thought, to oral and written communication. Dialogue systemises fragments of retrieved
knowledge. Oral and written activities are necessary to maintain and strengthen memory.
As an educator, repetition and retelling must be implemented to retain information. It provides the
opportunity for concentration, response and clarification thus allowing the manner of reasoning,
imagination and creative thought to take place.
