Golgi Apparatus - it is in-charge of the packaging of nutrients and proteins in a cell.
Chloroplast - For plants, the chloroplast contains chlorophyll (green pigment). Not
only this, it also converts light energy from the sun into chemical energy to be used in
photosynthesis.
Mitochondria - it has always been known as the ‘powerhouse of the cell’ which gives
the cell its ability to perform its functions.
SECOND PART
1. The Fluid Mosaic Model was proposed by Singer and Nicholson. It is characterized
by the cell membrane being fluid due to each individual phospholipid molecule being
able to move relative to one another which makes the whole cell membrane flexible.
In addition, the proteins are embedded in the phospholipid bilayers in different sizes
and patterns just like a mosaic.

Peripheral (Extrinsic) Proteins - are made up of hydrophilic amino acids with
hydrophilic side chains that can interact with the fluid present in the lipid bilayer.
Integral (Intrinsic) Proteins - have hydrophilic and hydrophobic portions.
Asymmetric Distribution of Membrane Proteins - Membrane proteins, which make
up the cell membrane, are found in varying amounts. The numbers of peripheral and
integral proteins in the outer and inner parts, for example, are not equal.
Mobility of Membrane Proteins - Frye and Edidin assert that their research showed
that membrane proteins do not remain in the same place for long periods of time.
Enzymatic Properties of Membrane Proteins - Enzymatic activity is found in
membrane proteins. The plasma membrane is made up of enzymes, and there is a
list of proteins that are either structural or non-enzymatic.
Isolation and Characterization of Membrane Proteins - The chemistry of proteins
in cell membranes was advanced thanks to the knowledge provided by erythrocytes.
3. The universal structure of cell membranes has long been known as the lipid bilayer.
The lipid molecules' unique properties allow them to spontaneously assemble into
bilayers even under simple artificial conditions, resulting in the bilayer structure.
