Generally, unethical behaviors among employees have a detrimental impact on an
organization. Ethics are moral rules of conduct that guide human relationships (Sawitri et al.,
2021). In the absence of moral values, employees tend to do things meant to benefit them
while negatively impacting the organization. For instance, unethical employees are more
likely to engage in corruption which will lead to negative publicity and hurt the reputation of
the said organization. Besides, crooked employees conduct unfair bargains, preventing
qualified people from gaining promotions. Overall, the practice of unethical behaviors
ultimately destroys the organization; thus, creating awareness about their implications can be
beneficial.
